There are a great many difficult choices in life, and the complexity of the world wide web can be overwhelming to the uninitiated. Here is our guide to what to look for in a web designer.

• Do they seem professional and competent for your job?
• Is their own site well designed?
• Does it look a lot like other web designers sites? The designer may have used a template, or simply displaying a lack of thought.
• Contact them, and talk to them. Do they seem interested in your project?
• Do they offer helpful advice and suggestions?
